Danbury Man To Serve 16 Years In Jail For Home Invasions

Marlon Patterson, 32, was one of the two leaders of the conspiracy, in which eight men and two women wore masks, carried guns and broke into homes of drug dealers to steal cash and narcotics. Danbury police and the Drug Enforcement Administration began investigating the group in 2013 after learning it maintained several drug distribution sites, known as trap houses, out of which they sold crack cocaine and heroin. During the probe, officials learned the group invaded and robbed the homes of several marijuana dealers in the Danbury area. The two men then drove the victim to a liquor store and bought a bottle of vodka, which Whitehurst forced him to drink in about 15 minutes until he lost consciousness, authorities said.
