DANBURY - Firefighters with the assistance of a local tree company pulled a construction worker to safety Thursday after the man received a head injury while working inside the basement of the structure. The home on Forty Acre Mountain Road was under construction when a worker was hit in the head “due to the malfunction of a concrete pump truck’s boom,” authorities said. Because the man was located inside the basement of the unfinished structure and due to steep slopes along the property, firefighters had to use a variety of rescue technics to bring the man to safety.
