Crews Battle Stamford House Fire In Freezing Cold

Deputy Chief John Pritchard said in a release that it took crew 90 minutes to extinguish the fire, battling both sub-freezing temperatures and “dangerously icy conditions.” Eight engines, one ladder truck, one heavy rescue, four tanker trucks, three chief officers, about 40 firefighters, police and Emergency Medical Services assisted.
