Report: R.I. ranks 3rd in New England for teacher salaries

PROVIDENCE -- Rhode Island has the third-highest average teacher salary in New England, paying its teachers almost $4,000 less than Massachusetts, which ranks first.According to annual results posted by the National Education Association, Massachusetts pays among the highest salaries -- an average of $80,357 -- in the nation.
