Tornado watch issued until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for much of north Alabama until 10 p.m. Some of the counties included in the watch area are Morgan, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Lauderdale, Marshall, Colbert and Franklin.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning until 6:15 p.m. for Lawrence, Colbert and Franklin counties in north Alabama.

 

6,500 Decatur Utilities customers impacted by power outage

About 6,500 Decatur Utilities customers were without power this afternoon, according to DU, due to an outage in Southeast Decatur affecting three substations.
