Santa's local helpers brought his home for children's Christmas wishes to Central Park on Thursday.

DECATUR -- The Macon County Republican Women’s group will host a Chili Supper from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Forsyth Community Center, 268 S. Elwood St.

STEWARDSON -- Students attending school in the Stewardson-Strasburg School District will honor and thank local veterans in a school-wide assembly at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, in the high school gymnasium.

The Macon County Coroner's Office on Thursday identified the victims in Tuesday night's double-homicide in Park City. The coroner said both men died of multiple gunshot wounds.
