Ex-MSU president Lou Anna Simon arraigned on charges in perjury case

Lou Anna Simon, who was president of Michigan State University for 14 years, pleaded "not guilty" this morning to lying to police about her knowledge of a 2014 incident involving Dr. Larry Nassar's sexual abuse of a patient at the MSU Sports Medicine Clinic.

 

GM to close 3 plants, cut nearly 15K jobs in North America by end of 2019

The Associated Press reports the move will see 14,700 employees laid off, including 8,100 salaried, white-collar workers. GM will also unallocate the propulsion plants in Warren, Michigan and White Marsh, Maryland in the same timeframe.
