Chicago, REO Speedwagon headed to SPAC

SPAC unveils 2018 season

Saratoga Springs
The National Ballet of Cuba will make its Capital Region debut this summer, performing at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in an American tour limited to five locations.
The troupe's SPAC appearances — three performances of "Giselle" in early June — will open the summer arts venue's 2018 season, which also includes the full programming announcements for Philadelphia Orchestra, New York City Ballet and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

North Greenbush police identify "armed and dangerous" jewel thief

North Greenbush police are searching for a jewel thief that they say should be considered "armed and dangerous."Police say a man, identified as Charlie P. Hardt, 26, walked in to Jewelry by Don Cook at 1 Agway Dr. at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.Hardt stole merchandise from the store and did have a weapon on him at the time but no one was injured, police said. After that he broke into a nearby home and stole a car as a getaway vehicle, which police found in Albany a few minutes later.

 

Snow Sunday for east, north of Albany

A winter weather advisory has been issued for areas east of Albany and north of Saratoga Springs until Monday morning as snow could accumulate up to eight inches in some spots.The National Weather Service says eastern Schenectady and Albany counties, as well as northern Saratoga County, could get between three to six inches of snow Sunday, with localized totals possibly topping between six to eight inches.Southern Greene County, and Schoharie and Montgomery counties are also under the weather advisory.
