The Country Life: Horses And Mules Learn To Cope With Blindness

"A wink is as good as a nod to a blind mule." - Old West saying Our mule, Molly, has long shown signs of losing her vision - most notably being startled when someone comes up to her. Our equine veterinarian recently declared that Molly is now completely blind. I Googled looking for information on blind mules and quickly discovered two things: - There's a restaurant in Mobile, Ala., called The Blind Mule. - "Blind mule" is a term for someone who unwittingly carries drugs across the border. Luckily, I found more useful information at blindhorses.org, a website created by Rolling Dog Farm, a nonprofit that cares for disabled animals - specifically dogs and horses.
