The Metro Council signaled its clear support for a Hyatt-flagged hotel at the Oregon Convention Center Thursday with a pair of unanimous procedural votes. Council members supported both a term sheet with the project developer as well as a tax-revenue sharing agrement. The tax-sharing agreement must also be approved by the city of Portland and Multnomah County. Thursday’s votes won’t start construction of a 600-room Hyatt Regency Hotel next to the convention center, 777 N.E.
