The Colorado Springs Trails, Open Space and Parks Working Committee is recommending that the city buy more than 200 acres at Corral Bluffs Open Space for more than $1 million. If approved by the city's Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the City Council, the purchase would fill in the gap created by the horseshoe-shaped plot the city already owns, extending the open space to the south. The working committee unanimously agreed on its recommendation Wednesday morning.
