Firefighters are battling a blaze that broke out in an apartment building in Saco early Thursday morning. The fire began about 1:30 a.m. at an apartment building on Seaside Avenue between Bayview Beach and Ferry Beach State Park, according to CBS affiliate WGME. Several fire departments have responded to the scene, and frigid temperatures in the low single digits have added to the difficulty of battling the blaze, according to WGME. Bayview Road and Seaside Avenue will be closed until about mid-morning, WGME reports.
