Woodstock man pleads guilty to producing child pornography

A Woodstock man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography Wednesday. Between Feb. 22 and 25, Martin Vilchis-Caralampio, 42, of the 600 block of East Calhoun Street, Woodstock, videotaped a girl who was a resident of his home while she prepared to shower, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office. Vilchis-Caralampio was arrested in March after Huntley police officers received a report of the crime, and he was charged with child pornography and unauthorized videotaping of a victim younger than 18.  Under certain circumstances, child pornography can be charged as a Class X felony, which carries a sentences of six to 30 years in prison.
