Silicon Valley's tech economy has created a boom in job growth, but also has unleashed challenges that could throttle the employment surge, according to a report by Joint Venture Silicon Valley that found over a five-yeas stretch that ended in 2015, the Silicon Valley area, defined as Santa Clara County, San Mateo County and San Francisco, added 350,000 jobs and gained 220,000 residents.
