A Colorado Springs man's aim at a raccoon on a utility pole took an unfortunate turn when he apparently shot himself instead, police said. The shooting was reported just after midnight Wednesday in the 2500 block of Weston Road on the city's southeast side, police said. The man was found with an apparent gunshot wound in his lower leg, police added. The man told police he used a revolver handgun to shoot at a raccoon on the pole but he instead accidentally shot himself.
