Today, on the Ides of March, Councilwoman Helen Collins faces possible censure from her Colorado Springs City Council colleagues. Collins appeared stunned Friday when friend and associate Douglas Bruce was led away in handcuffs from Denver District Court after being sentenced to two years in prison for probation violations, including a real estate deal involving her. That deal led the city's Independent Ethics Commission to find Collins guilty last year of ethical violations, and the same ruling was handed down after a January hearing by a retired U.S.
