Colorado Springs City Park Ranking Hurt By Low Per Capita Spending

Colorado Springs dropped four spots from 42nd to 46th in a national ranking of city parks, largely because of the city's low investment in its parks. The city spends $81.22 per capita, compared with 20th-ranked Aurora and 26th-ranked Denver, which spend $142.63 and $121.02 per capita, respectively, on parks, according to the list released Wednesday by The Trust for Public Lands Wednesday.
