Colorado House Gives Initial Ok To American Indian Mascot Bill

House Bill 1165 would fine school districts $25,000 a month if they continue to use Indian names or images without panel permission. "Publicly funded institutions of education are promoting a symbol or a name that is so derogatory to students and communities that it must be addressed," said Rep.
