As a transplant and a political junkie, I’ve had a little trouble wrapping my head around the idea of voting by mail. It’s not that I distrust the U.S. Postal Service. After all, we have drop boxes for ballots. It’s that going to the neighborhood rec center, church or school, standing in line with fellow citizens and getting my “I voted” sticker has been such a cherished tradition — one I’ve enjoyed sharing with my daughter, now 8. Mail-in ballots are beginning to win me over, however.
