Four manufacturing companies in Clinton Township will move forward with plans to expand operations after recently being granted tax breaks by local officials.The Clinton Township Board of Trustees earlier this month voted to reduce the taxes on new machinery and equipment and/or real property by 50 percent for 12 years -- the maximum length under state law that allows municipalities to award industrial facilities exemption certificates to firms that construct new buildings or buy new manufacturing equipment.
