Two men shot Monday morning in central Stockton

No injuries in RV fire

Stockton firefighters responded just after 4 p.m. Monday to a recreational vehicle fire downtown a block east of City Hall on Fremont Street. The spectacular fire destroyed the RV, but luckily no injuries were reported and no structures were involved.

Saving lives is goal of Dive Team tryouts

STOCKTON — The Stockton Fire Department tested some of its firefighters with their underwater during Dive Team Tryouts held Sunday at Chris Kjeldsen Pool in Stockton.Participants were tested in four exercises: a 500-yard swim, 15 minutes treading water, 800 yards snorkel swim, and a 100-yard inert rescue tow.
