 A truck leaking acrylic acid has shut down exit 195 on northbound Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County, according to State police Sgt. Rob Carpentieri.The exit ramp has been closed as responders deal with the hazardous material, Carpenteiri said.

Bent Mountain brush fire contained to 5 acres - www.roanoke.com

Firefighters have contained to five acres a brush fire that was first reported Friday afternoon on Bent Mountain, according to a Roanoke County Fire and Rescue.
Roanoke County firefighters responded to the fast-moving fire on Sugar Camp Creek Road around 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to a news release issued by the county Saturday.
