Weymouth Auto Mall owner says closing his business 'very hard'

The Weymouth Auto Mall, formerly Ricky Smith Pontiac, will close Dec. 13 after 54 years of service. Owner Rick Smith said the business, which was founded in 1954 by his father, Ricky Smith, began to fall on hard times in 2009 when GM terminated its franchise agreements with a number of dealerships as part of the company’s bankruptcy.

 

Solemn events to mark death of President Kennedy
