3-D printable guns: The basics

Q: What is a 3-D-printed gun and how is it created?
A: The firearms are usually made out of ABS plastic – the stuff that Lego pieces are made of – and are created using special printers that can cost thousands of dollars. Unlike metal firearms with magazines that can usually hold several bullets, 3-D guns can hold a bullet or two and then must be manually reloaded. There is no mandate for licensing 3-D guns and they can be created without a serial number, making them untraceable by law enforcement.
Q: How did the debate over 3-D-printed guns begin?

Officials in support of the new rule described the policy as a way to shield children from addictive habits and to safeguard the sanctity of the classroom.

Fox suspected of attacking 4 people in Brunswick tests positive for rabies

In a separate incident, Waltz said, a skunk found Sunday on Range Road also tested positive for rabies. It doesn’t appear that the skunk had any contact with people.

Ninth-inning rally falls a run short as Dogs lose to SeaWolves, 7-6

It was a game of high-low for the Portland Sea Dogs’ fans at Hadlock Field.
One moment, the fans’ only fret was the infield single in the fourth inning that ruined Teddy Stankiewicz’s no-hit pitching.
The next moment, the Sea Dogs trailed 7-2.
From that low came hope. Portland rallied for four runs in the ninth, and had the bases loaded with two outs.
But Erie Seawolves reliever Trent Szkutnik entered to face Deiner Lopez, and struck him out, giving the Seawolves a 7-6 win over Portland before a crowd of 6,067.
