The caller then requests money in the form of prepaid gift cards to pay off the warrant, threatening arrest if payment is not received, according to police.

A 68-year-old Bloomfield Hills woman who police say was wanted for stealing three times at an area Target store apparently pressed her luck by allegedly trying to do it again, and wound up arrested on July 21.The woman was caught allegedly attempting to steal $19.43 of merchandise from the store at 1301 Coolidge Highway in Troy, but was stopped by a loss prevention officer before she could get away with the goods, police said.

The Road Commission for Oakland County plans to begin the reconstruction of Tripp Road between Dixie Highway and Van Road/Grange Hall Road in Groveland Township on Monday, July 30.
