Brian Shul received a standing ovation from a capacity crowd at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) on Thursday night for his uplifting, informative talk spiked with humor about overcoming horrific burns in a jet crash in the Vietnam War to flying the SR-71 Blackbird, the world’s fastest jet, on Cold War spy missions in the 1980s.
