Ocala National Forest prescribed burn today

The U.S. Forest Service is prescribed burning in the Ocala National Forest today. The 227-acre burn is in Lake County just west of State Road 19, and south of State Road 40, near the Marion County line. The burn will improve wildlife habitat, eliminate vegetation build up and reduce the threat of wildfires.
