Federal judges grant new trial in Shelby Township murder case

A 34-year-old man serving life in prison for a Shelby Township carjacking murder gained a new trial Tuesday from the U.S. Court of Appeals.Joseph Hendrix, convicted of felony murder for the 2006 death of Evangeline Doen, won a retrial because his statements to police were erroneously allowed during his 2007 trial in Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens.

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools is hosting a Non-Instructional Job Fair on July 10 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Harry L.
