Denver Broncos’ player Sam Callaghan Brenner was honored by a local Irish club. Friendly Sons of St. Patrick North San Diego County recognized Brenner for his community leadership and contributions to all-things-Irish.

 

New lease allows polo fields to stay active

San Diego City Council members approved on Monday a new 28-year lease for the 114-acre polo fields near Del Mar despite objections from nearby residents about traffic and noise. The council voted 8-1 on Monday in favor of the lease, which will allow the site to continue hosting soccer tournaments, polo games and other high-attendance events.
