Manufacturing company Taylor Made has been sold to Lippert Components, an Indiana-based company that makes parts for recreational vehicles and other industries. Taylor Made, headquartered in Gloversville, employs more than 1,100 employees in 10 facilities, including two in Europe.

NEW YORK (AP) — A self-employed chef is suing a New York City strip club, alleging that a stripper knocked out one of his teeth after he called her a bad mother.David Kupferstein's lawyer says he visited Larry Flynt's Hustler Club in 2015, and says he was having a conversation with an exotic dancer there who mentioned her family had trouble with police.Kupferstein says he told her "it sounds like you are a bad mother," and she punched him in the face — knocking out his left front tooth.

WAILUKU, Hawaii (AP) — A murder trial began Monday for an uypstate woman accused of deliberately driving off a cliff in Hawaii and killing her identical twin sister.Alexandria Duval was taken into custody in Albany months after her sister's death on the island of Maui. She was later sent back to Hawaii to face trial.

 

Schenectady man accused of robbing Stewarts Shop in Rotterdam

A Schenectady man is accused of brandishing a knife while attempting to steal items from a Stewart's Shop in Rotterdam on Monday.Michael X. McCoy, 19, was charged with felony robbery and misdemeanor petit larceny after he was captured by police early Monday evening, Rotterdam Police said.

Advocates support N.Y. Assembly bill for safe heroin injection sites

ALBANY -- A coalition called "End Overdose NY" passionately voiced support Monday for a proposal to permit sites where New Yorkers can use intravenous drugs under supervision and without fear of arrest. The key goal behind allowing safer consumption spaces, or supervised injection facilities, is to prevent overdose deaths, which have risen drastically in recent years. For 2015 and 2016, deaths from opioids like heroin and fentanyl statewide outside of New York City rose from 1,520 to 1,879, and experts say they likely continued to increase in 2017.

 

Sheriff to lead active shooter training in Mechanicville
