Kansas City municipal government is gearing up to assume work left hanging by the disqualification of Mid-America Regional Council's green zone weatherization program. The City Council on Thursday approved a measure that accepts $173,440 in federal stimulus dollars from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to complete home weatherization jobs that MARC failed to complete.
