User acquisition costs for iOS apps got a whole lot pricier leading up to the Christmas rush. App marketing firm Fiksu tracked the cost of acquiring loyal users, and found that the marketing costs shot up nearly 30 percent in the month of November as companies raced to gain attention from all the consumers grabbing new devices for the holiday season. The cost to gain a loyal customer hit a year-long high this past July, at $1.54 per user, and was at a year low $1.06 just in October.
