China Is Secretly Adding New Strike Fighters To Its Air Force For A Future Fight Over Taiwan

Chinese Ministry of National Defense China is apparently adding new J-16 multirole fighters to the People's Liberation Army Air Force to bolster its overall combat capability. The new J-16 fighters have the ability to transform China's air force into an offensive rather than defensive force, according to experts. In particular, these fighter jets could play a role in keeping the US at bay in a conflict with Taiwan. China’s expanding line-up of multirole, all-weather J-16 fighter jets will help the air force to launch strikes deep into enemy territory and destroy key strategic assets like airfields and bridges, military analysts say.
