The driver of a truck struck and killed a child in a Commerce City parking lot Thursday, police said. The fatality occurred in the 7700 block of Highway 2, according to a news release issued by the Commerce City Police Department on Friday morning. Police did not say how old the child was or release the child’s identity. They said it did not appear speed was a factor, but released no further details about the crash, including what time it happened.
