Chicago Bulls center and power forward Jalen Smith in August paid $1.95 million for a three-bedroom, 2,573-square-foot condominium on the 45th floor of a Near North Side tower. Smith, 24, played for the Indiana Pacers for parts of three seasons before signing a three-year, $27 million contract with the Bulls in July. In another illustration of Chicago’s soft condo market at the high end, the seller who sold the 45th-floor unit to Smith had paid $2.9 million in 2022 to buy it from the building’s developer.
