New York-based JPMorgan Chase & Co. said today it plans to add more than 80 bank branches in California this year, with perhaps 10 or more branches in Sacramento County. The new branches will extend Chase's network to more than 800 bank branches and almost 3,000 ATMs across California. Chase said it expects the new branches will add more than 1,200 new jobs. Chase said it will open 35 new branches in Northern California and nearly 50 in Southern California. The move would further expand Chase's presence in California on the heels of rebranding more than 700 Washington Mutual branches last year.
