STAMFORD-A little more than two years after former Stamford High School Principal Donna Valentine had been arrested for failing to report an illicit sexual affair between a teacher and student that rocked the school system, a Stamford judge on Monday dismissed a charge of failing to report the months long affair to authorities. Valentine’s former Assistant Principal Roth Nordin, who like Valentine was also charged and granted participation in the same court diversionary program for first-time offenders, had her misdemeanor charge of failing to report child abuse dismissed also. Police detailed numerous reports about the relationship by teachers, school staff and students that they say should have been reported to the state Department of Children and Families, the affidavits show.
