URBANA — A Champaign man who allegedly had cocaine, a loaded handgun and cash on him last week outside a Champaign home has been criminally charged with two Class X felonies. Emerson L. Brooks, 41, who listed an address in the 2700 block of Wellington Drive, was arrested Oct. 14 as he was about to leave a house in the 1300 block of North Mattis Avenue. read more
