MIDDLETOWN — Catholic Daughters is the largest national organization of Catholic women in the world. They are dedicated to strengthening their spiritual life.The organization was founded in 1903 by the Knights of Columbus in Utica. Originally, the National Order of the Daughters of Isabella, the organization was very active during World War I, volunteering as nurses and clerks, conducting sewing and knitting classes for the Red Cross and donating clothing for the needy.
