CEDAR RAPIDS — Cedar Rapids police spent the lunch hour at Nelson’s Meat Market for “Going to the dogs with the K9s” Thursday. CRPD encouraged the public to come out to the event for hot dogs and conversation. Officials said it’s a way to build relationships with the community. “With the media and the general public’s sentiment with law enforcement, it’s really gratifying because we know we’re doing a good job, and we want to continue doing a good job.” Sergeant Cristy Hamblin said.
