Carnival To Slow Growth, Focus On Returns

After a few years of rough seas, Carnival Corp. & PLC is looking forward to smooth sailing into 2011. That was the message the company delivered during its annual meeting in the U.K. That positive outlook, however, has not translated to the company’s stock prices, which were down in midday trading. Shareholders were told that the Miami-based cruise company will focus more on better pricing, getting a better return on their investment and slowing growth. Last year, the company added six ships.
