Captain Lou was legendary because he also managed rock bands. Listen to the band NRBQ that was a big bar/club band back in the 1980’s. They even had a song captain Lou Albano, and his voice was in the song.

Captain Lou wouldn’t be afraid to show up for a show or a TV taping completely drunk. Albano also allegedly told Vince Jr. to fuck off a time or two if he disagreed on a certain angle or match that Albano disagreed with. One of if not the final straw apparently happened around 1986 when a very young Shane McMahon and Albano had a confrontation.
