“While Trump’s 2019 bid for the Arctic territory was dismissed as little more than a joke, the president-elect’s timing is better this time around — Greenlanders are intensifying their push for independence from Denmark.
“President-elect Donald Trump said late Thursday that a meeting is being arranged with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, a summit that would be eyed anxiously by Ukraine and its other Western allies,” NBC News reports.
Said Trump: “President Putin wants to meet… we are setting it up. We have to get that war over with.
“The fate of a law that would likely ban social media platform TikTok in the United States goes before the Supreme Court on Friday as the justices consider whether to block it,” NBC News reports.
