California's legislative leaders say budget agreement is near

They have reportedly resolved differences over education cuts. But the governor's office says difficult decisions have yet to be made. Legislative leaders emerged from late-night budget negotiations Tuesday to announce they were closing in on a final agreement on how to address the state's $26.3-billion deficit.
