MENANDS - An employee at a local animal shelter got a surprise Thursday when a puppy poked its head out of a box the man thought had fallen out of a nearby dumpster.The box was filled with other 6-week-old hound-mixes, said Marguerite Pearson, a spokeswoman for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
