After the first trailer for Eli Roth's Borderlands dropped, there was a vocal majority that believed that the movie had a similar tonal and visual aesthetic to the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy films. While being compared to some of the better entries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't necessarily a bad thing, Roth is finally speaking about the comparisons, and he's making it clear that his film is no remake in any way, shape, or form of the James Gunn films.
