LOS ANGELES (AP) — A California Highway Patrol communications center in Los Angeles was evacuated for several hours Tuesday afternoon because of a bomb threat. Authorities say about 60 people were evacuated from the building in the Eagle Rock area around 3:30 p.m. after an anonymous caller made the threat. CHP and Caltrans workers, who also have offices in the building, were forced to leave for about 2 ½ hours while bomb-sniffing dogs searched the complex.
