BOSTON — The body of a 2-year-old girl dubbed Baby Doe after her remains were found in a plastic bag on a Boston Harbor beach has been released to her father. Joseph Amoroso is planning a private funeral and burial for Bella Bond. Amoroso says she will be buried with her paternal great-grandmother in a Winthrop cemetery. Amoroso never met Bella but talked to her on the telephone a few times. Bella was known only as Baby Doe for three months after her remains were found in June on Deer Island. Authorities learned her name in September when a tip led them to Bella’s mother, Rachelle Bond, and her boyfriend, Michael McCarthy. McCarthy is charged with murder.
