WASHINGTON — After a two-plus day walkabout in the leafy wilds of northwest Washington, an escaped bobcat returned to the National Zoo and walked right into a trap where some “goodies” had been left for her Wednesday, zookeepers said. The adventures of the female bobcat known as Ollie lit up social media and transfixed the nation’s capital after she went missing Monday, offering a distraction from the more serious news of the Trump administration’s early days. While bobcats are native to much of North America, including the greater Washington area, none are believed to live in Rock Creek Park, which surrounds the zoo.
