The upcoming DC film Blue Beetle is set to include subtle nods to Henry Cavill's portrayal of Superman. The confirmation comes amidst changes in the DC Universe, as newly appointed DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran chart a fresh course for the franchise. While Cavill's portrayal has left an indelible mark, the stage is now set for a new interpretation of the character as David Corenswet takes up the mantle of Superman in Superman: Legacy, joined by Rachel Brosnahan, recognized for her performance in The Marvelous Mrs.
